Jennifer Quilty, RMT, CDT
Jennifer graduated with honours from the International Academy of Massage. She is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario (RMTAO).
Jennifer has a background in health care with previous experience as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) in geriatric health. Through her direct experience in aiding the senior population she was empowered to have a career where she was able to work along aside individuals in order to improve their health. She is enthusiastic that she is able to help people in a relaxing environment.
Jennifer recognizes that as a Health Care Professional she has committed herself to be a self-directed and life-long learner; in order to provide her clients with the best care possible. She provides client-centered care that establishes a thorough and individualized treatment plan. Jennifer uses a variety of Swedish Massage techniques to reduce tension and restrictions in soft-tissue, while promoting relaxation. She also incorporates several advanced techniques into her treatment regimens. These include Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Joint Mobilizations, Contract Relax Stretching, Hydrotherapy applications as well as Modern Cupping Therapy techniques.
Jennifer believes the benefits of Massage are maximized when coupled with the appropriate self-care exercises. She collaborates with clients to establish a realistic home care routine of stretching, strengthening, postural awareness and self-massage techniques. She empowers clients to be active participants in the therapeutic process.
Jennifer lives an active lifestyle; she enjoys attending yoga, spin classes and hiking in Gatineau Park. She also enjoys experimenting with fresh and nutritious recipes.
